I'm Back!
It has been a year, and this time, I promise I will keep this site up to date with my pictures and the goings-on of the Schweiger family.
Colin had his First Holy Communion on Sunday. It was a wonderful day! I didn't expect it to be so emotional for me, but it really was. I think seeing him up there in his suit all dressed up, all by himself accepting the Sacrament, was just HUGE. It was a big rite of passage and I'm very proud. Here are a few pictures:
I was helping Colin get his suit on before the ceremony and it was still sealed up in the plastic it came in. He said, "Is that Daddy's suit?" I said, "No, honey, it's yours." He said, "Why is it so big?" I had to chuckle and say, "Because you're such a big boy!" And he truly is...
Right before it was time to go, I realized he had no dress shoes, so I had to run out to Payless while Carl, Nammy, Poppy, and the kids got Colin to the Church on time. Luckily, I got there on time, too and he had nice shoes to wear instead of sneakers.
It was a lovely day and we couldn't be prouder of our boy!
