In the mood to opine
OK, I haven't updated in a REALLY long time, but I'm sure there really isn't anybody that's missing out, but I just feel the need to state my opinion on something, and just ramble...
I am very proud that I have finally been asked to take someone else's portraits. By someone else, I mean a non-family member! So, I've been checking out photographers' websites, etc. to get ideas and tips. I have to say that I have figured out what my style is NOT. I don't like the current trend in engagement/wedding pictures where the subjects are making out and sucking face and rolling on top of each other. I mean, come on, this is not SOFT PORN! If I were engaged, I would want my photos to be tasteful and something that I would want my future children to see. I know when you're newly engaged, you just want the world to know how much you love each other, but these over-the-top displays are strictly for the bedroom, in my opinion... Yuck!
OK, now that I got that off my chest...
Life here is NUTS. We are in limbo as to whether or not we should put our house up for sale. We have been thinking about it for a while, and casually looking around at other houses in the neighborhood because we know we definitely want to stay in this school district. Our choices were pretty limited when we listed what we definitely want, i.e. a quiet street (preferably a cul de sac), at least 4 bedrooms, a covered patio, and a bigger back yard. Well, we found the house that fits the bill. The only problem is, there are about 4-5 houses around ours that are up for sale. And they are not moving at all. I know we could price to sell, but I'm not even sure if it would sell even then... Ugh. Scary stuff. To go into something that we have no control over is so foreign to us and it is not something that we enjoy. But I just have to keep telling myself to have faith and it will work out!
Here are some recent LOs of mine:
My last LO for Karah Fredrick's Guest CT *sniff*:

Another one for Karah's CT:
And finally, just because:
